Hi Linda, I'm sure with your accomplishments, Sweden would love to have you. My father emigrated from the Lulea, Boden, Pitea area of Sweden in 1923 with his elder brother and their half nephew. Their oldest brother remained in Lulea. Ten years later, dad met and married my mother. The Minneapolis area must have quite a large Swedish community. I think there are at least two others from that area. My husband's father was a Swede Finn and one of my husbands cousins lives in Oceola, which is not too far from there (though we have never been there). I have never been to Sweden, but I would like to visit and meet my cousins and extended family. Kerstin is in Uppsala and Ingrid and her sons are in the Lulea area.

Hi Linda, I see you like photos of flowers and sunsets. Also baking and icing gorgeous cakes. I can join you on the former, but I'm afraid not the latter. I love taking pictures of flowers, landscapes, sunsets, and animals. I do my best with people, but it usually takes several shots to get a good one, because I feel candid shots are more likely to capture the real person. I have a purse with three center pockets and two small outside pockets. Pen and paper, kleenex and hand sterilizer, shoehorn, etc. are in the small outer pockets. My camera (12x optical zoom - I love it) is in the first of the center pockets, essential purse type items in the second, and my drawing pencils and sketch pad are in the third. It weighs about 4.25 lbs but having my camera handy at every photo opportunity is such a joy. I need to slow down a bit and take out my sketch pad occasionally.

Anyone can create a group and other members can then join this group and discuss the group's subject and upload relevant photos.
