Welcome to my page

Welcome to my page of this wonderful community.

I'm 46 years old and are living with my boyfriend in St. Pölten a small town 60 km away from Vienna. I grew up in Austria's capital Vienna but changed to Lower Austria 12 years ago.

I work on night-trains running from Vienna to different cities in Europe and I love to combine my jobb with travelling.

I started to study Swedish when I was young (I even took part in a Swedish course in Stockholm which lasts 4 weeks) and are still trying not to forget the rest of my knowledge by reading newspaper-webpages, swedish books, keeping contact to my former boyfriend in Stockholm...

I enjoyed my trips to Sweden (I have also been to Göteborg, Kalmar, Östersund, Mora, Jokkmokk, Södertälje, Uppsala, Halmstad and Sigtuna) - a really beautiful country with very nice and helpful people.

I hope that I'll gain a lot of friends from Sweden (don't hesitate to write in Swedish) and all over the world! Puss och kram to everybody!

  • You know Astrid, I've just in love with this little world we all live on. I was greatly impressed with the sights I saw in Austria. I wanted to spend more time soaking up the history and I was so struck by the lack of depth of European history we get in our public schools in the states. Have a great day and enjoy your train trips and all the diverse residents of this planet you get to meet.

  • Hej Astrid. Sounds likes things are going very well for you! Doing very well and enjoying being out of school for the rest of the summer. I'll stick to the 12 week classes in the fall and spring. Trying to get some work done after I say hello to everyone. Hugs.

  • Hej hur är det??? It's been a long time since our last contact! Vi ses Ela

  • Hi train girl.......

  • Hi Astrid! Happy midsummers day ;-)

  • Astrid--thanks for the friendship and being a fellow Swedenphile. (Hope that term means "lover of Sweden.") I'm excited because I get to visit your area this summer. I'm attending the Passion Play in Oberammergau and then traveling on tour--Salzburg, Wien, Villach, and then to Innsbruck. Never been there before. I also plan to fly up to Stockholm. I plan to go by Sigtuna. Any tips on what to do and not to miss? Thanks for the VÄNSKAP. I am a little jealous about having a job that allows so much travel.
