Hej Ygaen! Thanks for stopping by to say 'hi'. I have been travelling and just got back. I visited a friend in Surrey, B.C. then went to Florida for the college graduation of my youngest daughter. The family then went over to the Bahamas for a week. Then my daughter Karin and I went to Portland to visit my brother Karl. We went on a kayak trip together and just now got home. I think that is about the total of travelling I will do this year. I am working on brushing up on my Spanish though, as living here in southern California, it is very handy. There is no need to know it, but if you do, you gain a lot of respect and a willingness among many merchants to bend over backwards to please. Spanish has always been part of California (much to the dislike of many transplanted easterners) but for us natives, it is not so unusual. But over 50 years it has gone from being a 'presence' to a nearly mainstream phenomenon. SoCal is not yet 'Montreal', so to speak, by any means, but it is clearly on its way.

Yes, I think your allusion to "everything coming, invariably at a price/cost", is absolutely correct. In the world of Employment.Business, one has to make certain compromises, to ensure one's ultimate goals are achieved and realised, it's s a constant balancing act of "keeping all the balls in the air", if you'll pardon the clumsy Circus pun. I trust, in doing so, you will not take too much out of yourself, physically & mentally, in your striving to amass the necessary kroner to enable you to return to your beloved, and beautiful homeland, but the sacrifices will be well worth the struggle. You can be further fortified & strengthened in the knowledge that you have so many friends on here, sending you all their positive energies.
