Hej!
My name is Marc
Although my job has taken me all over Europe (although it has taken me to other parts of Scandinavia, sadly never to Sweden yet).
Despite the fact that I’ve been to Malmö a couple of times, and I’ve just got back from a great week in Stockholm. I like most things Swedish (apart from rolled herring and Surströmming) ABBA, Volvo’s, IKEA and Kopperburg, and Svenska Schlager. I almost take Eurovision as seriously as many a Swede. I’m only teasing I know that there is so much more to Sweden than Melodifestivalen, Meatballs & Volvo’s, and I can’t wait to discover what the rest of Sweden has to offer; So much so that we’re seriously considering settling down in Sweden in the future.
I’m trying to learn Swedish with Rosetta Stone and start night school in Sepember this year. I’ve had a few funny looks so far talking away to myself immersed in my iPod & language books. We have plans to travel more extensively throughout Sweden. I’ve to Malmö a couple of times now, and went to Stockholm last years for my summer holiday, and completely fell in love with the city. Over the next year or so we’re hoping to have city breaks in Stockholm & Gothenburg and most excitingly we’ve hoping to go Snowboarding & Skiing in Åre in the new year.
Hej då för nu,
Marc
