(Message to all members) CommunityOfSweden.com has gotten it's biggest update so far: Groups! Anyone can create a group and other members can then join this group and discuss the group's subject and upload relevant photos. A group can be about a city, an activity, perhaps a swedish musician or something else. You decide! You'll find the new Groups section in the top navigation. Check it out and enjoy! :)

Hi Marcus, Thanks for the kind words and welcome! Yeah, from what i recall about Skelleftea, it was very similar to my neck of the woods. The biggest difference was the temperature. I recall leaving home at minus 35 and arriving to a minus 10.The climate was much milder in Sweden. I love the cold but not when it freezes your toes to the bone....I was defintely not discouraged during my last trip. I felt right at home-moose, fish, ice and hockey! As im a bit older now, i am actually looking forward to the boating, ice fishing and hiking. Last time it was more about the socilaizing....this time i will be in O'vik, which i hear is even bigger into hockey! I am most certainly looking forward to it.Im going to look into joining a floorball league. its just a matter of getting a stick and learning the rules...I recall that people were reserved on my last trip, however I found people quite polite and friendly. i am currently in Italy with my extended family where people are always yelling and screaming and poking their noses into everyones business! i feel badly saying it but its the truth. ill be happy to get to a calmer country where people are more reserved. A friendship that takes time to develop will most certainly last a whole lot longer than one that happens overnight! Take care and write in the future. Sincerely, Jack
