Welcome to my page

I am as passionate about food and drink as I am about travelling, and happy as Larry when I get to combine the two. Stockholm is my new hometown, originally from Gothenburg I have been a Stockholmer now for two years. I have spent innumerous evenings and weekends exploring the restaurant, café and bar scene of the Swedish capital and during the days I am fortunate enough, being a true foodie, to work for one of the major hospitality groups in Scandinavia, Nobis, featuring well-known brands such as Operakällaren, Café Opera and design hotel J.

  • (Message to all members) CommunityOfSweden.com has gotten it's biggest update so far: Groups! Anyone can create a group and other members can then join this group and discuss the group's subject and upload relevant photos. A group can be about a city, an activity, perhaps a swedish musician or something else. You decide! You'll find the new Groups section in the top navigation. Check it out and enjoy! :)

  • Hi Jenny. I've just been looking at the Nobis website. A very impressive company you work for. I really need to get out of 'the sticks' more ... I hadn't heard of the company ! Only Café Opera, naturally ... And it's been about 9 or more years since my last visit there. When we do manage to take a holiday ( it took us more than 4 years to eventually take one last time ) we do appreciate uniqueness and luxury , so we'll do more research about your hotels, and hopefully in another 4 years, take another holiday ! Matt and Lindy.
