Welcome to my page

Hello!

I am an official Blogger on SwedenInTouch.se and a published writer (academic writing).

I am very happy to write about Sweden. I like Scandinavia and would like to share my experience about Sweden and Norway so far. I visited many cities in Sweden and enjoyed my stay in Stockholm. My studies of Swedish were also pleasurable for me. I discovered numerous sights, attractions which appealed to me very much and I would be excited to return to Sweden in the future.

I would also like to make new friends and travel to Sweden some day, get to know more about history and culture of this beautiful Scandinavian country.

 Hej!

  • Hello Tatyana, It,s nice to meet you over here, i like your photos

  • Hi, Tatyana, how are things going in Norway? My wife has always wanted to see the famous "fjords".

  • Hi! You know, living in one of the most beautiful countries in the world (I think, Norway is) there is no need to go to Sweden ;-) When I was in Oslo, the job I had there was some people from Russia and countries nearby.Very compentet and skilled in their job. I was at the "Jernbaneverket" planing for railroads. Norway is better in taking care of the competense of people from other countries then what we are in Sweden, I think. How did you end up in Norway, like me? -Love? Ciao, Håkan

  • Hello Tatanya! How are things going with you? I have not been on COS in a while because I am so busy with school. Everything else is fine besides that. How was your trip to Norway? Or are you yet to go there? Jag hoppas du ar mycket bra! Ha det bra!

  • (Message to all members) CommunityOfSweden.com has gotten it's biggest update so far: Groups! Anyone can create a group and other members can then join this group and discuss the group's subject and upload relevant photos. A group can be about a city, an activity, perhaps a swedish musician or something else. You decide! You'll find the new Groups section in the top navigation. Check it out and enjoy! :)

  • Hi Tatyana, you seem to be a fountain of facts...I can tell you read quite a bit. I realy liked France as you do, I admire the French custom of eating all night in a cafe and talking to your friends. Unfortunately, Americans stay at home in their own houses or apartments and watch TV. I am something of an odd American in that I do not watch TV and haven't for many years. I prefer reading and listening to music in addition to my nature activities. Hope you enjoy your trip. william

  • Dear Tatyana, Thanks for your compliments. Internet today can give you a small impression of how it looks like here where i live, by using google maps and streetview. The Haddingestraat 19 was the former orphan home. Nr 21 was the former poormenshome. Nr 23 is the church and nr 25 was the home of the pastor. Nowadays here live no longer poor or children nor elderly people. The people who live here are volunteers from the church. This social history interests me most. In the past the church took care of the poor and elderly. And i wonder how that was in the past in other countries. Why is it so difficult to find a complex like ours in Germany? In Groningen we have 40 of them. Not all from the church. Some were related to labour-unions. Others were initiated by people who had a lot of money and no children. I have the luck to live in one of those. I have no children and no fortune that would be enough to build a social home, but i feel the problem of not having someone to leave your properties to.
