We met in Funäsdalen, Jenz and Me and we directly took the road for the wilderness . Up in the big plateau it was really shining and amazing landscape, the view it gets open in all directions and the space is enormous, vast like a desert of snow ,1000msl high and you can see the massive of the first glacier under the polar circle, 1800musl hight. It was a fantastic weather whit sun and not cloud at all the blue sky was electric and the snow like silver .

Temperature really warm, +2 but... no wind! One of the most windy place of Sweden was totally “vindstilla” …! we ate a sandwich and tea... a nice chat but the problem was always there... how is possible that 18km more far there is 10m/s and here that's so open.... no wind? Far I could see a windmill turning... so, we just tried to go that direction but in downwind side, and after 3 km we stopped... some snow was flying from the road! When we came down from the car, the temperature was much lower, just 50m more down! This days we had a very strong high pression that cause a strong thermal inversion and light winds... in 500 meter of altitude you gain 25 degrees of temperature!!!! That's really crazy!

But the wind was still not enough and we went more down again, and there we found what we where looking for... a nice gentle breeze for our wings. We started kiting in the middle of a rare vegetation of fjällbjörk (mountain silver birch) in a little valley and head to wind, trying to get up to the plateau. I open Manta II10m 09 and my friend Jenz had a Frenzy FX 10m 07. It was really hard to get out from the valley, in the middle of trees, but little by little our effort has been payed back by an increasing wind. Also Is, my white siberian friend, it was enjoying a great free run with us, in this majestic place, in a powder snow, hard bottom, and endless space :) .

 One time up in the begin of the plateau, out from this little valley, the wind was really top, it makes us enjoy very good reaching discovering the place and starting to admire a magnificent sunset. We ride a looking forward to reach the top of this plateau but every time we reach a top, another one appear in the horizon. Manta II gets all her power and the speed incredibly increases just moving a little the wing that contrast the sharp surrounding landscape, very good work also in de-power system, and it was so great drive only by one hand wile filming and taking pictures in motion.

We ride till the darkness coming, ad we start the way back... we took the shortest way in the middle of trees and easily we were in the starting point, near the car, making last borders in the darkness. Is was tired and happy, I was tired and happy and Jenz was tired and happy too. It was a day with really bad wind condition, but thanks to our perseverance, passion and our wings, we gets our target … enjoy a nice snowkiting day, in the wilderness of Sweden! So we had explored another nice place making good knowledge of the area, that's important for, later, to link all the knowledge and try new ways, in vision of really big adventures! That's everything ...only for the moment.
