I like it!

Just have to share yesterday's moment with you. As you might see I'm currently living in China and Shanghai, which is a quite "international" city to live in if you compare to for example Beijing. Yesterday I was helping some Swedish friends out with their preparations for their company Christmas Party (huge Swedish company) which will be a team building activity for their Chinese colleagues (they are the only two Swedes here) and we were making the dough for the gingerbread snaps and three different kinds of Christmas sweets (toffees). Not a very difficult task for a Swede, I can assure you. But when shopping for ingredients you realize how lucky we actually are in Sweden. Two of us went to a major French store and the other one went to one of the "expat shops" here in Shanghai and yet we ended up with missing some of the ingredients and not all of them being the proper ones. But we ended up with quite tasty dough and the same with the sweets. All of the procedures could be enjoyed with glögg and also julmust thanks to IKEA!!! At least we Swedes are lucky to have Sweden Food Shops at IKEA stores to get some tastes from home!
What I actually want to say with this story is that I'm so happy that we actually have so easy life and access to most of the tings in Sweden and these are the (small) things that I really miss with Sweden and also appreciate more and more! Longing to come home for Christmas, just having to visit ONE store for my food supplies =).
