5thumbs up

I like it!
In 2006, on a camping in Sjöbo, near Ystad, we met a Swedish man. He noticed a book of Henning Mankell on our table and was surprised that those books were translated into Dutch. After talking a while about those books he reassured us that Ystad was in fact a peaceful town where no murders had taken place in many years. This was a very comforting thought :) and we visited Ystad without any fear.

  • Henning Mankell's books are also translated into English. My husband is quite a fan of the Kurt Wallander stories. He takes them out from our local library. There seem to be at least three or four people in CoS who enjoy them. I will have to read one.
  • Both my wife and I are fans of Henning Mankell.
  • Haha!
Mankell's books have been translated to many languages. Huge in Germany, I hear.

There are three kinds of stories:
Travel: these are all about the holidays and travel memories. Recommendations: these could be about the best shopping places in Stockholm or the must see places in the Swedish Lapland. Anything: these can be stories about Swedish midsummer celebrations, food or thoughts in general.
